Endovascular angioplasty (PTA) is a method of dilation or recanalization of vascular stenosis or occlusive lesions caused by atherosclerosis or other reasons by catheter technology. Before treatment, diagnostic angiography is usually performed to understand the location, scope and extent of the lesions, and balloon catheters of appropriate size and length are selected to dilate the lesions according to the results of angiography.
